Ladies:
Nothing screams "girl power" more then giving your fellow sistas a compliment, particularly when one is due. If you like a girl's haircut, let her know. If you whisper to a friend, "That girl's shoes are fly" then why not let the girl in on the secret? Giving props (when due) creates solidarity, boost self-esteem and keeps you humble.
But...please know how to receive a compliment. There's nothing worst then returning a compliment with: "I know my shoes are fly. That's why I bought them." The concept to return a compliment with a compliment-- scratch it! When it comes to complimenting people only one rule applies: Say what you mean and mean what you say! Trust me, a simply "thanks" will always suffice.
